The golden rules of

the mesh

THE DELICATE ART OF CLEANING

First commandment of knitwear: don't give in to the temptation of compulsive washing. Your sweater doesn't need to be washed after every wear, trust us. A little airing between uses will do the trick perfectly.

When it's time to do laundry, you have two options:
- Wash in cold water, inside out.
- Wool program on your machine, if you really can't do otherwise.

The best-kept secret? The freezer.
Place your sweater in the freezer before washing: the cold tightens the fibers and makes your garment less fragile.

Drying? Flat, obviously. No negotiation possible on this point.

And if, unfortunately, your favorite sweater shrinks after a slightly over-enthusiastic wash, don't panic. A warm soak with conditioner can restore it to its original shape. Miracles do happen.

IRONING, THE FINISHING TOUCH

Use a warm iron, place a damp cloth between the iron and the sweater, and above all, always iron inside out. For the most meticulous among you, steaming remains the safest option.

Last but not least: store your sweaters folded, never on a hanger. Gravity is not kind to knitwear, even the finest.

With these tips, your Lafaurie sweaters will last through the seasons without changing shape.

The lint,

the struggle continues

Let's talk about pilling. All wool sweaters can be affected by it, it's natural.
The secret weapon? Once again, the freezer . The gentle method for treating lint and making it easier to remove. The cold acts on the fibers and makes them easier to detach.

For those who prefer a more traditional approach, a lint remover can also be used, with caution on our most delicate items such as organic cotton sweaters.
